umrah is a very spiritual act, it is optional, and has three simple steps that can be finished very quickly. The first of three steps is tawaf , going around the kabah 7 times. The second step is going around Safa and Marwa, 7 times. After the first two steps are completed you cutt only a small amout of your hairr.
Hajj is a longer process.Hajj lasts 5 mandatory days because the 6th day is optional. First the believer must make his intention. Then he goes to Mina and stays theyre all day. Omarah is done at any time of the year. It is easier than hajj by far. Omarah is a four step process: 1) niyyah (intention 2) Making tawaf 3)going around safaa and marwa 7 times 4) and cutting a peiece of your hair. Hajj is same and different at the same time. Hajj is done at a certain time of year. (the 8th day of dul-hijjah) millions of people gather in mekkah to perform this spiritual journey. At the start of hajj, the beleiver migrates to Mina and stays there and sleeps early to prepare for the next day to come. the next day(9th of dul-hijjah) You pray Fajr in mina, then zoom to arafat until sunset. at arafat, a muslim reads quran and makes duaa. there inshallah Allah would grant any of the beleivers duaas. Here you pray Thuhr and asr together (jamah)all together 4 rakas. At sunset you ZOOOOM to muzdelifah, and you have to get there! no matter if you set one foot in musdelifah, its ok. There at muzdelifah you prah isha and magrib together(jamah). You cannot leave muzdelifah until after midnight. at the time of the prophet, the beleivers slept in muzdelifah, but because of the croud, many just leave ater midnight.the next day (10th of dul-hijjah) one goes and throws their seven stones at the big pillar. then they make tawaf. After tawaf they go around safaa and marwa 7 times. then cut a part of there hair. The next two days are designated to throwing the 21 rocks at the 3 pillars. the 13th day of dhul-hijjah is optional to throw rocks. Then Hajj is overrr.
omrah you can do it any time its not much like hajj. it will take you 1/2 hour or mabe if there is lots of people it will take you an hour or so than you cut an inch of your hair that is called tawaf. its the same thing a hajj but you dont do wakfet arafa

Those wishing to perform Hajj cannot pass through the Miqaat without having made their intentions for Hajj and wearing their Ihram. Tawaf-ul-qudoom-the intial tawaf performed upon entering Masjid-ul-Haram in Makkah. A pilgrim kisses the Black Stone then goes around the kabah seven times. Question #1 In omarah, a person must make the niyyah, the intention, to go to omarah before they reach Mecca. After the pilgrim has reached Mecca, he must go around the Kabba' 7 times. This is called tawaf. After the pilgrim made his tawaf around the Kabba', he must pray 2 rakat behind Maqam Ibrahim. After that he must run between the two mountains Safaa and Marwa. This is called sai'. When the pilgrim is done with the sai', he or she must cut his or her hair.Omarah can be finished in half an hour. A Muslim can do omarah any time in the year.
Hajj is from the 8th day of Thul-Hijah to the 13th day of Thul-Hijah. Hajj starts on the 8th of Thul-Hijah no later. The 8th of Thul-Hijah is also called Yawm Atarwiyah. It starts by the pilgrim making their niyyah at their specific marking oint, Miqaat. Making the intention for Hajj is necessary because the whole pilgrimiage depends on it. After the pilgrim meets his destination,Mecca, he must put on his Ihram clothes. When a pilgrim is in their Ihram clothes they must not cut their hair, cut their nails, break the branches of trees in Mecca, wear perfume, or have any sexual relationship. The Ihram clothes for men is two unsewn clothes, one wrapped arounf the waist and one to cover one shoulder. After the pilgrim has their Ihram clothes on they must make tawaf around the Kabba'. After they have finished tawaf, they must pray 2 rakat infront of Maqam Ibrahim. After they have done that, the pilgrims make Sai'. After they have made Sai', the Muslims got to Mina and spend the night there. It is recommended by the Prophet (PBUH)to sleep early because the next day is going to be tough. On the 9th day of Thul-Hijah,also known as Yawm Arafah ,the Muslims pray fajr in Mina and then they go to the mountain Arafat. On Arafat the pilgrims make duaa', read quran, ask for forgiveness, etc. They stay on Arafat from sunrise to sunset. At Arafat the Muslims pray both Thuhur and Asr together. After sunset, the pilgrims go to Muzdalifa and pray Maghrib and Ishaa' there together. On the 10th day of Thul-Hijah, the 1st day of Eid and one of the days of Ayam At-Tashriq, the pilgrim goes to Mina, throws seven rocks at the big pillar, makes Tawaf Al-Ifaddah,Sai',cut their hair, and sacrifice. Then on the 11th-13th days of THul-hijah, Ayam At-Yahsriq, the pilgrim goes everyday to Mina to throw 21 rocks. Seven rocks at the small pillar, seven rocks at the medium pillar, and seven rocks at the big pillar.
Q1 continued) Hajj is mandatory and should be done at least once in a persons life. hajj lasts 5 days. 8th day of thul hijja: yawm ul-tarwea, you go to mina 9th day of thul hijja: pray fajr in Mina, go to arafat and pray thuhr and asr and stay until sunset praying, reading Quran, and making duah. at sunset go to muzdelifa and pray magrib and isha. after muzdelifa you go to Mina and throw 7 rocks at the wall (iblees.) then go around the kabah 7 times. go between safah and marwah 7 times. then cut your hair. on the 10th day of thul hijja you throw a total of 21 rocks at the stones. on the 12th day you throw more rocks. 13th day is optional
Question 1-Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam, and it is madatory of every muslim to make this pilgramage. Hajj takes place during the 10 days of Dhul-Al-Hijjah which takes place on the twelfth month of the Islamic year. During the Hajj, pilgrims must be in a state of Ihram. Men must wear a two-piece of white cloth covering both the lower and upper body. While pilgrims are in the Ihram, it is stated that they cannot cut both their nails and hair, kill any animals including insects, wearing perfume, or engage in any sectual realations. While performing the rituals of Hajj, pilgrims must complete the following: They must walk around both the Ka'aba and the great mosque in Mecca 7 times, on the 9th day pilgrims go to Arafaat and listen to a sermon that was once said by Prophet Muhammad, then pilgrims travel to Muzdelifah to spend a night there for their next busy day. On the next day pilgrims must complete the task of throwing 7 rocks on the big pillars and continuing on...Pilgrims must sacrifice an animal on their behalf and obtain a certificate to say that the sacrifice has been carried out. Pilgrims must then drink Zamzam water from a well in the great mosque. It is believed where god provided water from Hajar and her son,Ismail, when they were wandering in the desert.Lastly pilgrims pray at the station of Abrahim, where Ibrahim and Ismail are believed to have prayed after building the Ka'aba. The Hajj basically emphasises the brotherhood of muslims and their equality in the eyes of god.
In Omarah, a person must make their Niyyah, and their intention, to go here before they reach Mecca. After the pilgrim has reached Mecca, he must go around the Ka'aba 7 times which is called Tawaf. After the pilgrim has made his Tawaf around the Ka'aba, he must pray 2 Rakat behind Maqam Ibrahim. Afterwards, he must run between the two mountains Safaa and Marwa which is called Sai. When the pilgrim is done with their Sai, he must cut his or her hair. Omarah can be finished in half an hour. A Muslim can do Omarah any time in the year. Its not madatory of them to do it on specific days.
Question2) 1) Miqaat: the marker point for pilgrims who come to Hajj. Whoever wants to do Hajj makes their intention and puts on their Ihram uniform here.
2) Tawaaf-Al-Qudoom: when you reach your destination of hajj, you have to go around the Ka'aba 7 times.
3) Ihram: a two piece of white cloth that men have to wear when going to Hajj.
4) Jamrat: the throwing of rocks at the big pillar in Mina.
5) Ayyam-ul-Tashreeq: the 11th,12th, and 13th day of Thul-Hijja; it is when pilgrims throw 7 rocks on each of the three pillars.
Omrah could be done in approximately 1 hour, it can also be done anytime. Omrahh requires three steps, first step is Tawaf, which means going arround the k3bah seven times, after that rotation you pray two rakkahs behind Makaam Ibriheem. Secind step is Sai between Safa and Marwaa seven times. Lastly cut(women)OR shave(men)thier hair and you done.
Hajj is different, it happens once a year, and everyone does it on the same time. It begins on Thul Hijah, from the 8th to the 13th. First day which is the 8th, we stay and pray fajir in mina then we leave to iftar and stayy 'till sunset. Secind day which is on the 9th, we pray thuhur and asr jam3h. After sunset on that same day, we pray jam3h mashrib and isha at muzdalifa. On the third day(10th), we throw the three rocks on the big pillar and do tawaf il ifadah, after we either cut our hair if we are woman, or shave if we are men. The on the 4th 7 5th day which are the 11th and 12th you throw the 21 stones on the pillars, 7 on each pillar, and the 13th is opitional, yet we do the same as we did on the 11th and the 12th. THEN YOUR GLADLY FINISHED WITH HAJJ, allah yihdeekom inshalkah.!(=
Question #2 Miqaat- The marking point for pilgrims to make their intention to do hajj or omarah
Tawaf Al-Qudoom- It is when a piilgrim in hajj on the 8th day of Thul-Hijah make tawaf, going around the Kabba' seven times when they have just arrived Meccca.
Ihram- It is the hajj uniform worn during the piilgrimage by men and women.
Jamarat- When the Muslims in hajj on the last three days of Hajj got to Mina and throw the 21 rocks at the three pillars.
Ayam-ul-Tashriq- The 11th, 12th, and the 13th day of Thul-Hijah when the pilgrims go to MIna and the throw the rocks at the three pillars.
Itwas about the differences beteewn both and how omarah were you can make omarah in little time, about 30 minutes.where haj 5 days the 8th of thul-hijjah to the 13th of thul-hijjah. And the Prophets farewell speech, and how this may have been the last speech he could give before he dies.
The difference between haj and omarah is that omarah is mustahab and haj is wajib. For omarah, muslims need to walk around the kabaa 7 times. They also need to pray two rakas behind Makaam Ibraheem. Then afterwards, the muslims need to run between two mountains, Al-safa and Al-marwa. For haj, muslims are reqiured to wear their Ihram clothes, men are to shave their hair and women are to cut their hair.
1. Umrah can be done at any time. There is only three steps, first is to fo tawaff around the kabbah seven times, and then pray two rakkahs behind maqaam ibrahim. Second you do Sai between safa and marwaa seven times. Finally cut your hair and you are done. With Hajj it is from thul Hajjih 8-13. On the first day you go to Mina and stay there all night. on the second day you pray Fajr in MIna then leave to arafat stay there until sunset. Pray Thuhr and asr Jamah. Then after sunset go to MUzdalifah and pray Maghrib and Isha. On the 3 you throw 7 stones on the big pillar and do Tawaf ul Ifadah. Then cut hair. On the 11, 12, and 13 you throw 21 stones on each pillar in Mina.
Tawaf al-Qudoom- Making tawaf around the Ka'bah seven times as you arrive in mekkah.also to touch the black stone.
Miqaat is The area where there is a mark checkpoint. where everyone makes their Niyyah for hajj and prays 2 rakkah.
Ihram is The clothing that is worn when performing hajj. Men wear 2 peices of unsewn garments. and women wear garments that cover everything except face and hands. this makes everyone equal in the eyes of Allah.
Jamrat is the throwing of seven stones of each of the pillars
Ayyam-al-tashreeq is The selected days of whick the believers throw the rocks at the pillars.
You can do umrah anytime, it can take less than an hour. You do tawaf, pray 2 rakats at maqam ibrahim, perform sai betwwen safa and marwa, and cut your hair. Hajj is from the 8th to the 13th. It is done once a year if you are able to do so. Your do the tawadf of arrival, go to mina and stay there all night, on the second day you leave mina after praying fajr, and go to arafat, pray thuhr and asr jamaa and stay until sunset. Then you rush to muzdalifah and pray maghrib and ishaa at the time of ishaa. throw stones the next day, do tawaf al ifadah, cut or shave your hair, and throw stones. throw stones for the next three days, and then hajj is over.
tawaf al qudoom is the tawaf of arrival, go around seven times and touch the black stone if possibe. miqaat is a check point for intention, there are different check points for each place that you are coimg from. ihram is the hajj uniform. it shows humility and equality, and reminds us of the day of judgment. jamrat is the three pillars that symbolize the devil. we throw stones at it. ayyam at tashreeq is the days when the people performing hajj throw the stones.
q1. hajj is when you go to makkah and perform tawaf ul qudoom, sai, arafat, pray at muzdalifah, jamrat, sacriice, shave, and do tawaf ul ifadah. It can only be done i the month of thul-hijjah. It starts on the 8th and ends on the 13th. Omrah can be done any time of the year and it can be done in 30 minutes. In omrah you have to do tawaf, sai, and cut the hair.
q2. Miqaat: This is the checkpoint where people from different places amke their intention. Tawaf ul qudoom: The arrival tawaf where you go around the kabah 7 times. ihram: the hajj uniform for men that is white and unsewed material. Jamrat: Throwing the stones at the symbols in Mina Ayyam ul Tashreeq:the last 3 days of hajj where people throw 7 stones at each of the symbols.
Sincerity is all about having the right intention in everything you do.Sincerity eliminates the self and a person stays away from wickedness and wrongdoing and turns to allah and prays for mercy as well as fear of his punishment. An aya in the qoran describes a person with sincerity "say (o mohammad)who rescues you from the darkness of the land and the sea(when) you call upon him in humility and in secret(saying):if he only saves us from his danger,we will truly be grateful.' say o muhammad(s) allah rescues you from this and from all distresses and yet you worship others besides him." (6:63-64). Sincerity is when a muslim turns to allah and recognizes him in good times and bad. As long as person stays away from all greed theyll stay sincere.
Q2 1-Miqaat: it is the marker point for pilgrims who come for Hajj from the north. Those wishing to perform Hajj cannot pass through the Miqaat without having made their intentions for Hajj and wearing their Ihram. 2-Tawaf-ul-Qudoom: Also called the Arrival Tawaf, it is the intial tawaf performed upon entering Masjid-ul-Haram in Makkah. A pilgrim kisses the Black Stone then goes around the kabah seven times. 3-Ihram: is the pilgrim's garb worn during Hajj and Umrah. For the men it consists of two pieces of plain, white, unsewed cloth. For the women they can wear what they wear during their daily Salah. Though for the women, they cannot bring fancy or shiny clothes. 4-Jamrat:They are the three stone pillars in Mina. They represent the time when Iblees tried to stop Prophet Ibraheem from carrying out Allah's order to sacrifice his son Ismaeel. Pilgrims throw 7 stones at each of the Jamrat in Mina. Through this, Muslims know that they must always reject Shaytan. 5- Ayyam-ul-Tashreeq: These are the 11th,12th, and 13th days of Thul-Hijjah. On each of these days, pilgrims throw a total of 21 stones on the Jamraat. They throw seven at the big one, seven at the medium one, and seven at the small one.
In omarah, a person must make the niyyah, the intention, to go to omarah before they reach Mecca.
ReplyDeleteHajj is one of the five pillars of Islam. Every muslim should do it at least once in his or her life. Hajj only comes once a year and lasts for five days.Hajj does not start until the 8th day of Thul-Hijjah. So if someone arrives early he or she could do Umrah.Though before one starts Umrah, they should make the neeyah and put on their ihram clothes. In Umrah you first do Tawaf around the kabah seven times. Then you pray 2 rakat behind Maqam Ibrahim. After that you do Sai'i between Safa and Marwah 7 times; you start with Safa and end with Marwah. The last step in Umrah is to cut your hair. If you still have time until Hajj starts you can go to Madeena and vist the Prophet's grave. The 8th day of Thul-Hijjah,which is the first day of Hajj, is called Yawm-ut-Tarwiyah. That day you go to Mina and sleep there overnight. On the 9th of Thul-Hijjah , you pray Fajr in Mina then leave to Arafaat. We stay in Arafaat all day until sunset. At Arafaat we pray 2 rakat Thur and 2 rakat Asr at the time of Thur. After sunset we go to Muzdalifah and pray Maghrib with the time of Ishaa. Three rakat for Maghrib and 2 rakat for Ishaa. Then we sleep overnight. Though these days not everybody is able to sleep in Muzdalifah. If someone wants to leave, they could leave after midnight. In the morning you pray Fajr in Muzdalifah and then leave to Mina. On the 10th day of Thul-Hijjah, which is the first day of Eid-ul-Adha and also called Yawm-un-Nahr, we do some Hajj rituals. First pilgrims throw 7 stones on Jamrat-ul-Aqabah Al-Kubra. After that we do Tawaf-ul-Ifadah. We could delay Tawaf-ul-Ifadah to the 11th,12th,or 13th days of Thul-Hijjah. After that one can do Sai'i but its optional. Then the pilgrim goes cuts his/her hair and is able to take off their ihram. A person is almost done with Hajj after this. The 11th,12th, and 13th days of Thul-Hijjah are called Ayyam Tashreeq.During the remaining three days, we throw seven stones each on all three Jamraat. Starting first with the big one and ending with the small one. After you throw each stone, you say Allahu Akbar. The 13th day of Thul-Hijjah is optional. After that, the pilgrim is finally done with Hajj!

ReplyDeleteHajj is from the 8th day of Thul-Hijah to the 13th day of Thul-Hijah.
